GoDaddy faces boycott over SOPA

godaddy-sopaA boycott of the U.S. hosting company GoDaddy seems set to go ahead even if the company has said it no longer supports the policy which it has triggered.

Customers were upset GoDaddy over its support from the controversial stop the Online piracy Act (SOPA).

But What is SOPA ?

SOPA, which has not yet been put to the vote, the United States Congress, allows the movie studios and record labels Find orders offline sites, where they can barely think they actually help prevent piracy.

From the outside, we don’t know how aggressive Namecheap was GoDaddy’s services-ping — but it sounds like at least plausible is that it was automatically shut down, or jump on a pre-existing policy, which would suggest that it might be a misunderstanding on the part of Namecheap.

On 22nd December, 2011 GoDaddy announced they won’t be supporting SOPA Legislation. Despite this change, many were expected to continue with their decision to bring their domains and Web sites from GoDaddy. On discussion forums and comments section on blogs, many said that they would still be transfer of GoDaddy.
